League One Play-Off Final

The Bees truly believe that they will get Championship football after their heart break on the last day of the season. The way Brentford blew their chance with a last minute penalty against Doncaster shows how cruel football can be. They earned their way to Wembley with a penalty shoot out win over Swindon, and in this final against Yeovil I wouldn’t be surprised if it went all the way to penalties. Yeovil beat Brentford twice this season so that’s a slight psychological advantage. They beat the supposed big boys in the play-off Sheffield United too. Yeovil will be the under-dogs but I think it will be the green army that win on Sunday and The Glovers will be celebrating.


League Two Play-Off Final


Bradford will be hoping it’s a better result in their return to Wembley stadium. After the Capital One Cup defeat, this does seem like a more even then that game. I think that this time they will be celebrating. Bradford’s star player Nahki Wells has already scored twice against Northampton this season and Bradford won both games 1-0. They will do it this time and leave Wembley winners.

After Chelsea’s defeat in Germany to Bayer Leverkusen manager Andre Villas-Boas is a man under serious pressure no matter what he thinks. As Chelsea sank to their third defeat from their last five games I look into where has it gone wrong? Well Chelsea was on a run of six unbeaten going in to their game at Loftus Road towards the end of October. A game where Chelsea thought they would walk all over their London rivals. This didn’t happen that day in West London Chelsea lost the game and lost the plot. The repercussions of that match have still left an effect. Plus AVB was fined £12,000 after the game for comments made about the referee. Since that match Chelsea have only beaten Blackburn Rovers & Everton on penalties. Premier League 2015/16 Preview

Arsenal The Gunners are now running out of excuses to mount a serious title challenge. They have money, they have spent it, they have brought in one of the best keepers in the Premier League (Cech) so now can Arsenal finally go the distance and challenge again? We have seen them start slow then once the pressure is off end the season strong. Or they start fast then come to February time and crumble. What will we get this year? I will say Arsenal will do a lot better this year and get a lot closer to the number one spot points wise. An impressive pre season topped with Community Shield success their looking good, however I have them finishing 3rd this year. Key Man: Alexis Sanchez after what was an impressive first season in English football scoring 16 goals, Sanchez spent his summer guiding Chile to their first Copa America. As the dust settles and all the teams have played their first games at this year’s World Cup I look back at the early talking points of the tournament. England’s performance was not the best but it also wasn’t the worst. Rob Greens howler will live long in the memory of English football now. He will get hounded at every away ground next season just like James, Carson and Robinson have gone through. I think England will learn a lot from the USA game, and I truly think that Joe Cole has to be on the pitch. I would play him behind Rooney which means dropping Heskey even though he did play well on Saturday. My team on Friday would be, Green (One more chance to save his England career), Johnson, Terry, Dawson, A. Cole, Barry, Lennon, Lampard, Gerrard, J. Cole and Rooney. The most impressive team so far have been Germany. They walked all over Australia and with a very young side they could go a long way.
