Champions League Predictions

Barcelona v Atl Madrid The top two in Spain clash in the Champions League this week. The two have drawn on their last 3 meetings in all competition. Madrid have not won at the Camp Nou since 2006, when Torres scored twice. They now Diego Costa whose in fine form, a slight injury doubt for tonight's game but if he does play he gives them a boost. Of course Barcelona have Messi. It will be a battle of the midfield, who can control that will have the advantage. Prediction - Barcelona 1-1 Atl Madrid Manchester United v Bayern Munich  In what should be a walk in the park on paper Munich haven't lost a competitive game since December 2013, you can't see them losing tonight unless United pull off what will only be described as a miracle. It's the midfield where the problem is, any Munich player would get in the United midfield, probably the ones on their bench to. Munich are to powerful in all areas for United, and if you look at the sides that have gone to Ol...

Moyes 3 Biggest Games Of His Career

It went from bad to worse for Manchester United on Sunday as they were humiliated by arch rival Liverpool 3-0 at Old Trafford. The league has been over for a long time but pride and bragging rights were still up for grabs  however,  United were simple outplayed in all areas. The fans carried on singing and chanting '20 times' in reference to their league titles but it may be a long wait for 21. How much time will David Moyes get? Will he be trusted with even more money? Will he be able to attract names as they won't be in the Champions League next season? Anderson's parting shot was he had lost some of the dressing, was he right or just being bitter? Tough questions but let's look at some Rafa style facts. The money he has spent, Fellaini £28m - He's good at being an attacking midfielder but he has not played in that position for United and never will. As a defensive midfielder he gets exposed for his lack of pace & United already have players who...

England - Fighting for a place in Brazil

Off the back of my last England team post, here is an updated list of the could go list. The friendly tonight against Denmark will give some of these players a chance but who could make a late run for the 30 man squad and then the 23 man squad who go to Brazil.   Could Go Andy Carroll Now back from injury if he needs games and needs to get back on the score sheet to shift Lambert out. Fabian Delph  Under the radar at the unfashionable Aston Villa but a young player who has had a decent season. A strong finish could do him the world of good. Mark Noble  If you look at the last England captain to take his country to a competitive final, he's your man. He does pass the ball well but what is more crucial he can take a penalty. Adam Johnson Up and down with form, he can play on either wing and find the net,  he is a confidence player, so Sunderland struggling in the league may put his chances down though. Luke Shaw One for the future but with it being C...

QPR Win or Bust

QPR have had some lows in their time & Charlton away on Saturday was just another difficult blow for some fans to take. Expectations are high at QPR the drop from the Premier League hurt but QPR had the team, resources, owners and manager to mount a title challenge this year. That's why they were favourites, but QPR's automatic promotion hopes are fading fast.  Redknapp is now getting more flack then ever now. His choice in the 'right sort of player', & 'ball players' have been supported by the fans. They have seen fan favourites leave & others come in mostly over 30 years-old. Now it can be seen this crop of players don't have the heart and passion of the Warnock side that won this league in 2011. Now QPR have lost a lot of key players due to injury, but Redknapp has had more then enough time to replace them with quality, what he did was just bring in numbers.  Leeds at home next is massive, if they lose it would be a 4th defeat in a row whi...
