Season Update!!!!!

Since the last time I wrote a lot has happened in the foot baling world. England has now qualified for the World Cup in South Africa. Their demolition of Croatia at Wembley Stadium was one of the best performances for many years.

The season so far has been packed with incidents. The Premiership top 4 looks like it could well be invaded. Manchester City showed there good enough to mix it with Arsenal, and was unlucky not to leave with at least a point from Old Trafford. Santa Cruz hasn’t even kicked a ball yet, and Hughes is coping well with the egos of Bellamy and Robinho for now.
Tottenham are the other, they had an explosive start to the campaign. But when it came to playing the top 4 teams, they came unstuck. Manchester United & Chelsea showed Spurs they must still work very hard to break into the exclusive top elite clubs in England. Tottenham’s weakness is their defence. King, Woodgate and Dawson are all injury prone. The full backs are unrealisable and they have not one, but two dodgy keepers. But going forward they have pace, class and depth which is one this Harry has going for him.

Portsmouth woeful start is officially the worst in Premiership history. Six defeats on the spin is poor. Another team with wealthy owners, but waiting till January could be too late for the South Coast team. Remember they only won the FA Cup two seasons ago.

My pre season predictions are looking good so far!!!

Where has as it all gone wrong for Chelsea?

After Chelsea’s defeat in Germany to Bayer Leverkusen manager Andre Villas-Boas is a man under serious pressure no matter what he thinks. As Chelsea sank to their third defeat from their last five games I look into where has it gone wrong? Well Chelsea was on a run of six unbeaten going in to their game at Loftus Road towards the end of October. A game where Chelsea thought they would walk all over their London rivals. This didn’t happen that day in West London Chelsea lost the game and lost the plot. The repercussions of that match have still left an effect. QPR won 1-0, but the game will also be remembered for John Terry’s racist slur, Chelsea’s ill-disciplined team (7 yellows and 2 reds). Plus AVB was fined £12,000 after the game for comments made about the referee. Since that match Chelsea have only beaten Blackburn Rovers & Everton on penalties. Their defence looks weak, Terry is getting exposed and David Luiz is not the best partner. Centre of midfield is a problem, Lampard ...

Premier League 2015/16 Preview

Arsenal The Gunners are now running out of excuses to mount a serious title challenge. They have money, they have spent it, they have brought in one of the best keepers in the Premier League (Cech) so now can Arsenal finally go the distance and challenge again? We have seen them start slow then once the pressure is off end the season strong. Or they start fast then come to February time and crumble. What will we get this year? I will say Arsenal will do a lot better this year and get a lot closer to the number one spot points wise. An impressive pre season topped with Community Shield success their looking good, however I have them finishing 3rd this year. Key Man: Alexis Sanchez after what was an impressive first season in English football scoring 16 goals, Sanchez spent his summer guiding Chile to their first Copa America. I expect more of the same and for him to break the 20 goals barrier.   Aston Villa They survived last year off the back of Benteke goals, Delph and Grealish...

Chelsea, Hazard, BallBoy, Out of control

Chelsea once again made the headlines for all the wrong reasons this week. Eden  Hazard was the latest player to drag the clubs name through the dirt. The Belgium star kicked a ballboy who refused to return the ball  quickly back to the player in the Capital One Cup semi final match. Now we know this ballboy was in fact 17 years-old and what he is doing as a ballboy is a different story. They are supposed to retrieve the ball as fast as possible to the players. This one let it slide by him and took his time, fell on it and that’s when the incident occurred. After a bit of shoving Hazard kick the ballboy and ball from under him and ran off to re-start the match. It doesn’t matter what he wrote on Twitter about time wasting beforehand it was an empty tweet from a teen. The real matter is that a professional footballer, a role model an adult kicked a person on national TV. If this happened on the street he would have been arrested simple as that. Some peo...
